Lee & Low Books, a publisher specializing in diversity, has been
running a series on the diversity gap in publishing. Their goal is to deconstruct some of the myths about diversity in books, and in turn to
encourage more diversity at all levels––including among
authors/illustrators.
In spreading the word about their mission, the publisher wanted to pass along some pertinent posts that might be of
interest to writers for children and members of SCBWI: Literary Agents on the Diversity Gap in Publishing, True
or False: Multicultural Books Don't Sell (A Bookseller's perspective).
In sharing these posts, Lee & Low hopes you'll offer reactions and/or feedback. To let them know what you think, click here.
