If you have a new book release or expect one in the next few months, don't forget to apply for big events for authors and illustrators in the Western Washington region. Applications are due Aug. 28 and are considered on a first-come, first-served basis.
The Kidlitosphere Conference's SCBWI Meet & Greet Author Presentation is Friday, Sept. 16, from 7-9 p.m. at the Monaco Hotel in Seattle. (More info about that here.)
We have a bit more room than we originally thought, so if you have a book coming out in the next year, please consider it.
NOTE: Participation in this event for people not registered for the conference itself is $15, but if you're on our panel, this fee is waived.
Inside Story, our twice-yearly celebration of new books and the stories behind their creation, will be at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 26, at the Sunset Hill Community Association in Ballard.
