AWP & Ursula LeGuin coming to Seattle in late February

The Association of Writers and Writing Programs (AWP) will hold its annual conference and bookfair in Seattle in 2014. AWP provides community, opportunities, ideas, news, and advocacy for writers and teachers of writing, and the conference will be held Feb. 26 through March 1 at the Washington State Convention Center and the Sheraton Seattle Hotel. Annie Proulx will be the keynote speaker, and Ursula LeGuin — yes, really! — is among other presenters.

Writers interested in attending can register now for early-bird rates through Oct. 31. It's not cheap, but those who can present a valid student ID can attend for as little as $45. Learn more or register.
