The workshop will cover what is selling in the current picture
book market, as well as the craft of voice in picture books. Tricia will
be critiquing a limited number of manuscripts for which you must
register and submit your first ten pages before March 5th. The critique consultations will be scheduled Saturday morning prior to the workshop.
As associate agent, Tricia represents books that look at the world in a unique and unusual way, with characters that are alive both on and off the page. She takes on picture books, chapter and middle grade and young adult fiction that offers strong world building, wounded narrators, and stories that grab a reader and won't let go. Tricia will also look at nonfiction.
The Kress Gallery is located on the Third Level of River Park Square behind the Atrium Cafes on 3. Follow the ramp adjacent to the Main Street windows to the end of the hallway.
Workshop SCBWI Members $49 Non-members $69Individual manuscript critiques $40 Non-members $50
The agent will critique the first ten pages of your manuscript and meet with you for 10-12 minutes. A limited number of critiques are available and you must register in advance.
