Speaking of launches, if you didn't make it to
Laurie Ann Thompson's launch of
Emmanuel's Dream last night, you missed a great time at
University Book Store, Bellevue. Laurie gave the packed room a bit of the inside story on how she learned of Emmanuel Ofosu Yeboah's amazing story and then wrote a beautifully told picture book about his courageous bike ride across his native Ghana. With only one good leg! Laurie is one excellent storyteller and book signer. (And the food was delish.) Big thanks to Olivia Ahl at UBS Bellevue for being such a great host and friend to local authors. Here are just a few photos.
