Diversity in kid lit not increasing

Sounds impossible, with the number of books currently circulating in the marketplace, but it's true:

According to data from a study just publicized by Lee & Low Books, publisher of diverse children's books, the number of multicultural books published by and about people of color annually has not increased in the last 18 years.
