As we enter the season of NaNoWriMo, PiBoIdMo, and the wintry holidays, we at The Chinook wanted to offer a small, light-hearted writing contest to spark your creative magic.
In 250 words or less, compose a story for young readers around the following prompt:
What does Jack Frost want more than anything else this holiday season?
Submissions should be sent via email to scbwiwa@scbwi-washington.org with the words "Jack Frost Writing Contest" in the subject field. The usual grammar and spelling rules apply. The top three stories will appear in the February issue of The Chinook.
Deadline: November 19, 5:00pm PST.
