Looking For a Low-Residency MFA?

Spalding University in Kentucky offers a four-semester, brief-residency Master of Fine Arts in Creative Writing with a study track in writing for children and young adults. Choose semesters in fiction, poetry, creative nonfiction, playwriting, and/or screenwriting; the program does not segregate children’s writers but encourages them to study alongside other writers. At the beginning of each semester, students and faculty work together at a 10-day residency, after which they return home to correspond one-on-one with a faculty mentor for the rest of the semester. Semesters begin in spring, summer, and fall. For more information, visit their website.
