Wordstock! All the fun, none of the mud

Here's a great opportunity for people who live in the southern part of our region--and for people who love a good road trip:

The Art of the Ending
If you missed it at our SCBWI WWA conference two years ago, Joni Sensel will reprise her endings workshop at Wordstock in Portland on Sunday, Oct. 11, at 1:30 p.m. Wordstock's writers' workshops are only $35 or $60 for two, and there are plenty of others on offer, too: check them out at http://www.wordstockfestival.com. Joni will also be privileged to participate in Karen Cushman's "Other Times, Other Places" panel with Mary Jane Beaufrand and others at 5 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 10.

I attended Joni's session at that conference, and it was terrific. She is a great teacher, and I always find many practical takeaways when she speaks. Something that has stuck with me: your ending is arguably as important, if not more important, than your beginning.
